Help IWS - Volunteer

INFANT WELFARE SOCIETY OF CHICAGO OPTIONS FOR ASSOCIATE BOARD VOLUNTEERISM
The Infant Welfare Society of Chicago (IWS) is soliciting creative in-kind donations and volunteers (through the commitment of individuals or groups) to further our mission: to provide quality health care for the physical and emotional development of Chicago’s underserved families to ensure a foundation for lifelong productivity.
The following are potential volunteer activities that may act as a springboard for new ideas.

Audience:  Children served by IWS and/or from the surrounding community - “Hands-on”

Supervise children in the waiting room(s)--read stories; play games; distribute coloring books, etc.

Start & nurture a club (book club, culture club, nutrition club, writing club, arts/crafts, sports, yoga, nutrition, ecology...)

Supervise community service activities (litter pick-up, health fair, gardening, etc.)
